Letter from Rhys - Week # 3 - Nothing Special!

Que lo que from the tropical land of Republica Dominicana!

Trying to come up with stuff to write home in the MTC is very hard to do since we basically do the same thing every single day.  

We had an opportunity to go to the University last Friday and talk with people!  It was very fun and very inspiring to try and communicate with other people when all you speak is very broken Spanish.  We tried to place a Book of Mormon, but everyone we talked to already had one.  No surprise really.

The experience helped inspire me to reach for higher limits and now I’m even more motivated to learn the language.  

Before the Hurricane hit Puerto Rico, our President of the CCM had bought a metric crap ton of food and water to last us all 3 days or more if it were to affect us.  The missionaries going to Puerto Rico are forced to stay here until Monday due to the storm but there’s no issues in that regard.

There is this one elder though, named Elder Lalli (Lolly) who’s going to Puerto Rico.  This guy is the coolest one here at the CCM because of a certain someone he reminds me of.  He's got killer blonde hair, a crazy personality and a giant ball of insanity. Can you guess who he reminds me of?

Alaric, I love you bro and that will never change.  Elder Chu and myself are safe and doing well here and nothing else exciting has happened so this is my end for this letter.  I love you all so much and I hope the hurricane carrying through to Florida doesn’t affect anyone too badly.  Just be careful and keep those being affected in your prayers.  I’ve seen pictures of Puerto Rico and it’s some pretty crazy stuff!

Letter from Kelson #9 - I am still alive and Kicking!!!

Good Morning From Sunny California!!! CAN I GET AN AMEN!!!!!....(PLEASE PROCEED TO SHOUT OUT LOUD "AMEN", THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING). This past week was super awesome, but also challenging beyond belief. This past week was the last week of the transfer and things were going crazy. We started of the week with a full white board of people to tech and bring the Gospel to, and by Friday we had maybe 2 people left. Everyone just started dropping like flies!!! We were unable to make contact with any of them, we had people tell us that they will not be continuing to learn from us, and we also had people ignore us when we stopped by... A bit of discouragement was really hitting us hard this week. We were struggling all week to try and fill our days with things to do and people to teach.
