Airport Pictures!

Here are some pictures taken at the airport before Rhys left on Tuesday, August 15th.  His flight left at 11:55 p.m.


A fine group of missionaries all going to the MTC in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.  Most of this group is going to the Santo Domingo West mission, 4 are going to the Santo Domingo East mission, and 2 are going to Barbados.  This is NOT the entire group on the flight.  There were 20+ on the flight from SLC to JFK and on to the DR.


These missionaries are all headed for the Santo Domingo East mission once they're finished with their training in the MTC.


One last view as he heads off through security, with Elder Malone who is also going to the East Mission.

Good Morning From Sunny California!!!!   I will start off with the most important thing up to this point. It has been brought to my attention that my Mission President wants us to Vote in this election so I need the world to petition my mother to send me an Absentee Ballot so that I may vote for whomever is not OBAMA!!! HAHA   Now to our success... We have had an amazing week!!! We went from a week of almost lesson draught to a week of overflowing milk and honey. We taught 17 lessons this week and we have a pre-me firm, which means that this investigator is ready for baptism, but we need to have them come to church and teach 2 more lessons, but it also means that they have accepted the call to follow Jesus Christ and be baptized.  We are super excited and on top of that they are also going on a Temple Tour with us Saturday...SAWEET!!! Letter From Kelson - Week # 97 - A-....Oooo Shiny,D-......Squirrel!!, D

Good Morning From Sunny California!!!   Have I told you that I may suffer from a minor case of the life destroying, grade killing, maybe even friendship ending addiction that brings many heart aches and pains to the life of those affected by it called...   ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER!!!!!!!!  or ....   This past week was pretty good, we were able to see the baptism of a one Melissa G., who is pretty freakin' sweet if you ask everyone in the world. I don't know if she would approve of me saying this, but I want to congratulate her on her baptism and handling that baptismal font water LIKE A BOSS!!! She has a little fear of being pushed/submerged under water by other people and with baptism that is a very necessary requirement, being completely submerged in the water by someone holding the authority from God to do so. Letter From Rhys - Week #15 - The Adventures of Elder Chu: Part 1

Feliz Lunes from the tropical land of the Republica Dominicana. This Week is all about the adventures of Elder Chu, but before we get to that a quick update.  2 of our 4 people to get baptized this past week were.  The others were pushed back to the first weeks of December.  Also, we have had many miracles in our area which include finding gold! (Investigator) The name of this Gold is Jennifer. Jennifer has been attending the church for quite some time now, and has a testimony that it is God's church on the earth but she has not been baptized.  This is because she's moved a lot and never talked with the missionaries before.  We found her while looking for someone else.  We stopped by her home to see if she knew someone who had been contacted during the Cosecha in the previous week and she then proceeded to search for this person for us for 15 min.  It was an amazing find.
