Feliz Lunes from the topical land of the Republica Dominicana! This week was a week full of interesting events.   The one that sticks out the most is what happened this past Friday! So Last Sunday, we heard that the youth of the ward were going on a temple trip! One of our recent converts was a youth and we’ve been teaching the rest of his family. So, he comes to his mom and says they’re going to the temple on Friday! When we heard this, we jumped on board and said we could all go to the temple together and give them a tour of the temple grounds. All was good to go, until Friday! Friday, I had some interviews for some baptismal candidates in the afternoon before the trip to the temple. In our effort to find a man to leave with us, the second counselor of the bishopric told us that the temple trip started a 4 not at 5 and that changed everything!!! So, scrambling ourselves to get everything ready for this sudden change in schedule was hectic! We scrambled about looking...

Letter from Kelson - Week #23 - The Lord has crazy things in store for me!!!

Good Morning From Sunny California!!! I am suffering from an overabundance of writers block right now...Grrr  Ok I think I am ready... So this past week was one that started off like any other...with P-Day!!! It went like any other p-day, relaxation with a hint of fun. Then the week took off...and then soon died; we had 6 scheduled appointments this week with some really solid people...at least we thought they were solid and they all fell through. Gosh that sucks a lot!!! But with lots of opposition comes great blessings in the near future. After this long week of crappy flaky appointments we had a miracle weekend. It started off on Friday and ended NEVER!!! Our success started with a great lesson to a couple kids named Nick and Ryan who are children of a Recent Convert. Letter From Rhys - Week #2 - Nothing's Better Than Workouts and Shopping

Que lo que from the tropical island of the Rupublica Dominicana! Week 2 is now down, though according to the CCM we’re at the end of week 3.  Makes perfect sense right?   Some interesting events have come to pass this past week.  Starting on Sunday, my district got together after sacrament  meeting to discuss our weekly goals. These are the goals we set:  1.         Memorize Moroni 10:4-5 in Spanish by Tuesday.  {Accomplished a day late} 2.         Work on the Christ-like attribute of diligence.  {It's difficult but it’s coming along. My habit of laziness has taken its toll on me on a couple occasions.} This next one is kind of ridiculous, but requires some explaining before we continue…  At the beginning of week one the CCM President gave us a short lesson on our titles as missionaries and representatives of Christ.  One of the many things he...
