Letter From Rhys - Week # 49 – T.G.I MONDAYS!

Feliz Lunes from the topical land of the Republica Dominicana! This week was a week full of interesting events.   The one that sticks out the most is what happened this past Friday! So Last Sunday, we heard that the youth of the ward were going on a temple trip! One of our recent converts was a youth and we’ve been teaching the rest of his family. So, he comes to his mom and says they’re going to the temple on Friday! When we heard this, we jumped on board and said we could all go to the temple together and give them a tour of the temple grounds. All was good to go, until Friday! Friday, I had some interviews for some baptismal candidates in the afternoon before the trip to the temple. In our effort to find a man to leave with us, the second counselor of the bishopric told us that the temple trip started a 4 not at 5 and that changed everything!!! So, scrambling ourselves to get everything ready for this sudden change in schedule was hectic! We scrambled about looking...

Letter from Kelson - Week #3

Good Morning Sunny California!!! Guess what time it is... MISSION TWO YEAR NEWS!!! On our last segment we covered what happened during week 2. And it has found itself to be week 3. At this time though I am kind of breaking the rule of the e-mailing home, because I don't have P-Day until tomorrow. However, because of unfortunate placing of plane flights and such, I must sacrifice my P-day for this week. Please don't judge my actions, I am doing laundry and don't have anything else to do while I wait. This past week has blown by, like a fart in the wind, or something a bit more pleasant (Farts and poop are the only things that Elder's find funny in the MTC). Anyway an update on my teaching ability is this, I suck at life...My teaching is kind of the worst, and I really didn't know what I was talking about when comes to the Gospel. Now I am not saying I don't know what I believe, but I am saying that I don't know how to put my beliefs into simplistic terms...

Hurricane 2.0

YOOOOOOOOO! So this Hurricane Maria right?!  Yeah.  Same deal as last time, got a generator, plenty of food and water and we're on a hill top.  Sooo, yeah, todo bien en la Republica Dominicana!  Have a fantastic day and I'll be emailing at 1 pm EDT tomorrow afternoon!  Catch you later!
